Processes, risks and good practice in prevention and response to sexual misconduct

Grounded in the current context within higher education, this 1-day course by LimeCulture provides leaders with knowledge to recognise and respond to sexual misconduct and harassment, apply a trauma-informed approach, and make effective decisions that strengthen culture.

Anchored in LimeCulture’s Safer Culture 8 Pillars, the programme supports leaders to fulfil their strategic and operational responsibilities by recognising and effectively responding to sexual misconduct and harassment, applying trauma-informed approaches to institutional processes, and making decisions that balance risk, accountability, and compassion. Through interactive and reflective learning, participants will explore how leadership can actively shape safer environments for both staff and students.

By the end of the course, delegate will;

· understand their role in fostering cultural change,

· be able to identify and address harmful behaviours with awareness of their impact,

· embed trauma-informed principles in institutional responses,

· ensure risk assessment, assurance and oversight, and

· lead with clarity and commitment to the creation of safer, more inclusive HE environments.

In order to fully embed the course and enable action planning post course we would recommend that at least two members of the senior leadership team from each organisation attend.

Included is also an optional follow up call with the LimeCulture consultancy team to discuss action planning and any further advice and support on next steps.
