Student Minds is the UK’s student mental health charity, working with students, higher education providers, the health sector and government to make student mental health a priority. We are pleased to host this Meet the Sector session, where Fran Coleman and Leigh Spanner from Student Minds will introduce who they are, how they work, and how connecting people, knowledge and practice helps drive meaningful change across the sector.
The session will cover:
- an overview of Student Minds and their approach to systems change
- the power of student voice, including insights from the Co‑production Toolkit and student‑led local campaigns
- learning from the University Mental Health Charter, including reflections from award assessments, common challenges and emerging good practice
- signposting to trusted, free resources for students and staff that can be used straight away
