Jisc hot topics for 2026

Mon 13 Jul 2026 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM BST Online, Zoom

This webinar will bring together Jisc representatives to share perspectives on hot topics currently affecting higher education providers – from cyber resilience and regulatory expectations to student experience, data-informed decision making and sustainable digital investment.

You’ll hear how Jisc is supporting organisations to respond to these challenges in practice, alongside examples, insight and emerging thinking from across the organisation. Speakers will also signpost where Jisc’s capabilities – including connectivity, security, data and insight, licensing, and communities – are evolving in response to sector need, and how these can be applied flexibly within IHE member contexts.

There will be time for discussion and questions, enabling you compare approaches and identify practical next steps relevant to your organisation’s priorities.

  • Gain insight into the key digital and operational “hot topics” that Jisc are currently seeing represented across higher education providers
  • Understand how Jisc is evolving its support in line with sector priorities
  • Identify practical actions, connections, and resources to inform your next steps

  • Anne Prior – Head of Independent Education, Jisc
  • Bella Abrams, Group Chief Technology Officer, Jisc
  • James Hodgkin, Head of Analytics, Jisc
  • Jonathan Hofgartner, Head of Learning and Teaching Licencing, Jisc
  • Rosie Hare, Community Intelligence and Impact Lead, Jisc
